The network and the Security

The network and security are undergoing a structural revolution, driven by uses that need to be agile and flexible. 

The current conventional approach, based on the Datacenter (Datacenter-Centric) is about to disappear in favor of an approach centered on identity (Identity-Centric). This change, endorsed a few years ago, was greatly accelerated by the events of 2020: data and users are now everywhere, and only user identification can secure this approach.

Technical infrastructures are adapting to support this change: Flex Office, Networks defined by application and usage (SDA, SDN, SD-WAN, etc.), identity (802.1x, profiling, MFA) and associated rights (IAM) define a new base to enablere access to information. 

Security solutions are enriched with NGFW (based on identity and its associated rights), Antiviruses for workstations and servers replaced by EDRs, or even XDRs. Naked safessystems and privileged access solutions (PAM) complete this panorama. Many of these solutions are deported to the cloud, under different SAAS, PAAS, IAAS models. Overall, ITaaS (IT as a Service) simplifies our work. However, the cloud and its uses must be secured with specialized tools/technologies: Cloud WAF, CASB, etc.
